Synastry is the comparison of two complete birth charts. MyMysticDay calculates each cross-chart planet pair, keeps only conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions inside published working orbs, and explains how the same contact can feel different to each person. Exact times add precise Moon positions and two reciprocal house overlays. If a time is missing, the uncertain Moon and unsupported houses are omitted rather than guessed. The same inputs always return the same result; no text or contact is selected at random. Both are astrology and both are interpretive. Only one of them changes when you change the birth time, which is the entire distinction worth paying attention to.

What it computes
Four things, none of them a verdict
Synastry describes mechanisms. What anybody does about a mechanism stays theirs, and a tool that grades a relationship somebody is actually inside is doing harm for the sake of a headline number.

Every contact, with an honest orb
The angle between each planet in one chart and each planet in the other, kept where it falls inside a tight tolerance. Exact times produce arcminute orbs. If a time is missing, the uncertain Moon is omitted and the remaining values are labeled date-based estimates. Synastry orbs here are tighter than transit orbs so weak background geometry does not bury the contacts that matter most.

Direction, which is not symmetric
An aspect is one geometric contact, but its two planetary roles are not interchangeable. In a Venus–Saturn contact, the Venus person brings affection and values while the Saturn person brings commitment, boundaries, and standards. Each result keeps the owner of both planets and explains both perspectives without counting one angle twice.

The house overlay
Where each person’s planets land in the other’s houses, which says what area of life the relationship actually occupies. A Sun falling in your seventh house and a Sun falling in your twelfth are entirely different propositions, and neither is visible from the aspects alone. This needs both birth times; where one is missing it is left out rather than guessed.

A count, not a score
How many close contacts exist and how they divide between the ones that merge, the ones that ease and the ones that ask something. That division is reported as a description. There is no percentage anywhere in this tool, and the reason is that no accepted method for producing one exists — every compatibility score on the internet is a number somebody chose.
Before you enter somebody else’s birth details
Whose data this is.
The second set of details in this form belongs to somebody who is not in the room. Both sides are encrypted at rest exactly as a birth chart is, neither name nor place appears on any public page, and a comparison is not served to a browser that did not create it. Nothing here is published, indexed, or shared with anybody.
Unclaimed comparisons are deleted after a week. If you save one to an account it stays until you delete it, and the account export includes it.
Astrology is offered on this site as a reflective framework rather than as fact. A synastry comparison describes angles between two sets of coordinates and what a long tradition makes of them; it does not measure a relationship, predict its outcome, or tell you what anybody feels.
